Ca' la Bionda, Valpolicella Classico 2019

Flag of Italy

Ca' la Bionda was founded by passionate grape-grower turned winemaker, Pietro Castellani, in 1902. Today, the fourth generation of the Castellani family still farm the vineyards in the commune of Marano di Valpolicella (in the heart of the ‘Classico’ zone) and make some the region's most approachable wines. Valpolicella Classico 2019 is a lovely light-bodied blend of 70% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, 5% Rondinella and 5% Molinara. It opens with notes of redcurrant, cranberry and cherry; which moves to a more elegantly savoury palate with further cooked red fruit flavours and good level of acidity. A great wine to pair with poultry or game.
